Wincil Barr Smith, 98, was called home from this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, MS. MS Wincil was born February 03, 1918 in Natchez, MS.
There will be a time of visitation from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, Friday, May 20, 2016, at Monticello Baptist Church with the Service following at 2 PM. The graveside service will be held at Monticello Municipal Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Brother Tim McCaffrey, Dr. Jon Daniels and Dr. Joey Faulk will officiate the services.
MS Smith worked at Kellwood Manufacturing Company for 30 plus years as a supervisor and corporate level. She has been an active member of Monticello Baptist Church for over 80 years.
She is survived by her son Dr. Thomas Hunter Smith III and wife Michele of Monticello, Daughters Barbara S. Winstead and husband John of Monticello, Sue S. Waldoff of Hattiesburg, Charlotte S. Ready and husband Bill of Monticello; sister Irene May and husband Wayne of Covington, LA. Also surviving her are 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Preceding her in death are parents Ira Albert and Viola Bryant Barr, her husband Edgar Hunter Smith two brothers Harrell and Rolland Barr.
