August 12, 1961 – October 15, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Randy Magee, born on August
12, 1961 in Kings Daughters Medical Center Brookhaven MS and passed away on October 15,
2023 in Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. William was a beloved husband, father,
grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
William was a hardworking man who retired from Nabors Offshore Drilling after 35 years of
service. He also owned a dozer and welding service company. He enjoyed spending time with
his family and friends, gardening, and spending time in his shop working on different projects,
playing with his dogs and cats, and discussing the Bible with his best buddy, Johnny Speights.
William was proceeded in his death by his parents, Clyde Luther Magee and Mary Jane Turner,
step father, Rayford Turner, mother-in-law, Linda White, father-in-law, Dennis White, grandson,
Brett Alan Greene, brother-in-law, Bo Grice, and, niece, Helen Grice. He was survived by his
wife, Tanya Magee, sons, Trent Magee, Ryan Magee (Hanna Rippy), and Benjamin Magee
of Brookhaven, MS, stepsons, Chance Greene and Peyton Greene (Ashley) of Brookhaven,
MS, and stepdaughter and fiancé, Tamara Greene and Damian Speakman of Lafayette, LA,
grandchildren, Analeigh Grace Magee, Olivia Michelle Magee, Hannah Wright (Colby), Cobren Greene, Kailey Greene, Halle Greene, Leighton Greer, Raegen Houff, Madison Greene, Trevor Greene, Paxton Green, and great grandchild, Clayton Reece Wright.
He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Roger Magee and Vicky Fuller, and brother
and sister-in-law, Travis and Alisa Fairburn.
William was an amazing man who was loved by all who knew him. He was a devoted husband,
father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a man of faith and was a member of Carmel Baptist Church in Monticello, MS.
William will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his
kind heart, generosity, and his never-ending sense of humor.
Visitation Services will be at Carmel Baptist Church in Monticello, MS on Wednesday, October
18, 2023 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm and will continue Thursday October 19, 2023 from 7:00- until
funeral service at 1:00 pm with Graveside services following at Wellman Baptist Church in
Brookhaven, MS.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. William will be forever in our hearts.
