William Carrol King, 75, of Edwards, MS died peacefully at home on March 22, 2026, after a brief illness. Carrol was born on July 27, 1950, to Frances and Elzen King in Monticello, MS. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry King and Gerald King. Carrol is survived by his wife Elsie King; daughter Holly Guthrie, son Andrew King (Mandy); step-daughter Jenni Taylor (Steve); sisters Mary Lea (Joe), Brenda King; grandsons Taylor Guthrie, Drew Guthrie, Camden King, Sully King; granddaughters Olivia Guthrie, Lauren Guthrie, Linley King, Dovie King and Stella Owen.

Carrol was a Master Automotive Technician and an avid outdoorsman.

Visitation will be held at New Zion Baptist Church in Monticello, Mississippi on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

Funeral services will be conducted at New Zion Baptist Church following the visitation at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  Bro. Jon Daniels will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Guthrie, Drew Guthrie, Camden King, Joe Lea, Mike Hossley, Steve Taylor, Bob Evans, and Randall Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38205.
