Funeral services for VW Ballard will be on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS at 11 AM with burial to follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Sontag, MS. Bro. Glenn Hilton will be officiating the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, 2, 2019, from 5 PM until 9 PM.

Mr. VW Ballard, 85, of Monticello, MS, passed from this life on Monday, September 30, 2019, at Southwest Medical Cardiovascular Unit, McComb, MS. He was born on January 17, 1934 in Monticello, MS, to Toxie and Cornelia Lambert Ballard.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Lavada Cox; and brothers, Carey Ballard, Toxie Higdon Ballard; sister Donna Dean Ballard.

Survivors are his daughter Gail Burt; grandson Kevin Burt and wife Amanda; great grandson Aubrey Burt; great granddaughters Skyla Barker and husband Andre, Lexie Burt; great great grandson Fisher Barker; sister, Modena Ballard Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
