Virginia Mae Lambert, 79 of Monticello, MS passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at her residence in Monticello, MS. She was born Saturday, August 19, 1944 in , Mississippi.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She loved her family dearly. Virginia enjoyed working outdoors, ballgames, drawing and coloring. She never took a day for granted.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Lambert;  father, James Shuping;  mother, Thelma S. Stamps Bryant.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Scott Lambert, Mark Allen Lambert and David Wayne Lambert;  daughter, Brenda Jo Lambert McCardle of Monticello, MS;  sisters, Janie Magee and Ora Ballard; grandchildren: Jamie McCardle, Joseph McCardle of Monticello, MS., Cameron (Chelsea) McCardle of Hattiesburg, MS, Kennedy Lambert of Dallas, TX, Matthew (Kelsey) Lambert of Monticello, MS, and Nick (Karri) Lambert of Monticello, MS.; and great-grandchildren: Naomi Lambert and Christian Lambert.
