Victor Lee Stephens, 86, of Monticello MS , passed from this life on February 24, 2015, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, MS. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church and will continue on Thursday, February 26, 2015 until the time of service at 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Michael Smith will officiate the services. Wilson Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Stephens was born on March 10, 1928, in Monticello, MS to Houston and Mamie Wren Stephens . He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was retired from Lawrence County District#2 . He was a Mason, he loved to garden and spend time with his family and Great Granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Stephens and Mamie Wren Stephens. Brothers: Charlie Stephens, Edward Stephens, Williard Stephens, Ollie Stephens, and sister Francis Jenkins, and one Granddaughter: Brandy Lee Smith.
He is survived by his wife Daisy Daughdrill Stephens of Monticello ,MS, son: Jackie Stephens and wife Tanya of Monticello MS. Sisters: Elaine Braswell of Jayess, MS, Linda Goings of Franklinton, LA, Alice Cliburn of Pearl, MS, and Great Grandchild Lilliann Belle Smith.
