Mr. Van L. Loar Sr., 69 of Jayess, MS passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Montgomery Veterans Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Van was born August 12, 1950 in Leachville, Ark to Odell and Geraldine Loar.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2 PM at Springs of Praise World Outreach Center in Crystal Springs, MS (26114 Hwy 27 south) with graveside services following in Terry City Cemetery in Terry, MS. Bro. Darrel Blankenship will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Van was a great husband, great father, loved his family and had a deep seeded passion for music, wrote many songs,and produced a C.D. with the group Judahseed.

He is survived by his son Van Loar Jr and wife Jamie and daughter Melanie Cox; 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; one brother Danny Loar and wife Sandra and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife Lynda Loar, and 2 sisters.
