Tracy Wilson
Little
May 10, 1966 – September 2, 2023
Tracy Wilson Little passed away on September 2, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Tracy was born May 10, 1966 to Everett Lee and Oddis Dickens Wilson of Oma, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held at Old Hebron Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM with graveside services following in Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Brother Micah Rutland will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Tracy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mike; her daughter, Ashley Votaw; son, Michael Little and daughter-in-law, Brittany; her grandchildren, Madison Ervin, Harper Votaw, and Reed Little; brother, Jerry (Connie) Wilson; sister, Judy (Frank) Marlow; brother, Ronny (Paula) Wilson; and many nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind her self-proclaimed "favorite children," her loyal and protective Australian Shepherds, Buddie and Buster. Tracy was preceded in death by parents, Everett Lee and Oddis Dickens Wilson, and her brother, Donny Wilson. Tracy was a native of Oma, Mississippi, a graduate of Union Academy and Mississippi College. She was a school teacher at Simpson Central for many years before becoming a poultry farmer with Mike in New Hebron. Tracy was a member of Old Hebron Baptist Church and previously attended Wanilla Baptist Church.
Tracy will be remembered as a loving wife, selfless mother, doting mamaw, loyal sister, spirited aunt, and honest friend—she loved keeping in touch with family and the rare occasion of random road trips with close friends, Charlie and Cindy. Her generosity, kind heart, and cheerful spirit will long be remembered, not to mention her legendary gift of storytelling! She regularly hosted family gatherings, bunko nights, and other events, just to enjoy seeing everyone together and having a good time. Her amazing talent of decorating, especially for the holidays, has been enjoyed by many over the years.
It goes without saying that Tracy will be greatly missed by friends and family, but a new light shines in Heaven!
