It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tommy Sumrall, 83 of Jayess, MS, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was born Friday, January 23, 1942 in Tylertown, Mississippi. Tommy left this world on October 10, 2025 at the age of 83, but his vibrant spirit and legacy of kindness will remain with all who knew him. He was one of a kind.

For many years, Tommy dedicated himself to life on the open road as a professional 18-wheeler driver, a career he handled with great pride and skill. When he returned home, he found peace and joy at his piano, filling the house with music. He also discovered his passion for flea-markets and his own unique style. Many will remember him as "Hillbilly".

He will be greatly missed and his memories cherished. In loving memory of Tommy "Hillbilly" Sumrall. And remember "It Don't Cost A Dime To Look"

He was preceded in death by his son, Zachery Sumrall; father, Elsie B. Sumrall mother, Nell Lambert Sumrall; sister, Patsy Sumrall.

Survivors include his former spouse, Julie Hicks; son, Jeremy Sumrall (Jinjer); daughter, Tasha Sumrall (Greg); brother, Jimmy Sumrall (Lynn); sister, Bonnie Brister (Dub); grandchildren, Gracelyn Abrams, Jadon Sumrall and Jazlyn Sumrall.
