Tim passed away unexpectedly from this life on February 12, 2021 at Lawrence County Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1962 in Brookhaven, MS to Toby and Ann Johnson. He graduated Monticello High School in 1980 where he played tennis and football. He attended Co-Lin Jr. College on a football scholarship and played tennis at Co-Lin where he won two state college doubles championship titles. He was a long time employee in the powerhouse at Georgia Pacific. Tim liked to hunt and was an avid tennis player for most of his adult life.

Tim was a loving husband to Melissa for 31 years until she passed unexpectedly in 2016. Tim has been the best daddy to Jessica and Ford and was so proud of them. Tim's most favorite role has been being Paw Paw to Fisher, Asher and Beau. He has been a favorite babysitter of his grandsons. Tim was a loving and caring son and never failed to call his mother and see if she needed anything. Tim was the best big brother you could ever have. He was always there if you needed him and would have did anything for his family. He was loved by his nieces and nephews. Tim was a gentle giant and if you knew him you felt lucky and privileged to have known him or had him as your friend.

Preceeding him in death is his wife Melissa Davis Johnson, his sister Darlene Johnson, his father Toby Johnson.

Survivors are his daughter Jessica Channell(Hank) and his son Ford Johnson(Bayleigh) of Monticello, MS; his mother Ann Johnson of Monticello; his sister Janan Johnson Malone of Brookhaven, MS; his brother-in-law's Mike Davis and Eric Davis of Monticello, MS; grandsons, Fisher Channell and Asher Channell and Beau Johnson of Monticello, MS, and his nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
