Randy was a long-time diesel mechanic, a cross-country truck driver and a school bus driver. His passion in life was most definitely driving a truck. He never missed an opportunity to tell anyone who would listen, his elaborate trucking stories. To back them up, he also knew the exact highway, byway and freeway where said story took place. He missed his true calling of being a stand-up comedian and story teller. They were the best stories and he always had the last laugh.
If you were one of the lucky people in his phone, you probably received a YouTube video or reel daily. Don't feel too special though, apparently there is a huge list of video recipients. There are so many words to describe Randy. His family made a list. He was comical, hardworking, a jokester, a problem solver, a giver, inquisitive, tender hearted and downright aggravating. He was extremely hardheaded, but also a peace maker. He loved his family more than anything (other than his dog Patch and his deceased dogs, Bingo and Rosco).
Patch received FaceTime calls. His children did not.
Randy loved working on cars, trucks, tractors and anything else he could take apart. He also loved ordering people around to "hold the light still!".
Occasionally he would attempt to pick the strings on a guitar but he was no Steve Earl and "Guitar Town" never sounded so awful. He loved to cook and was the best fish fryer we knew. He would literally put anything between 2 slices of bread and slap some mayonnaise on it also. Two Christmas's ago, everything was dipped in chocolate. Nothing was safe. Randy was truly the best husband, father, grandfather and friend that anyone could ask for. Although he will be greatly missed, we know how much he loved God and we know we will see him again.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and one sister, Charlotte Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sue Andrews; 4 daughters, Brittany Ball, Rachel Newman (Jason), Brandi Sharit (Steve), and Bobbie Ravencraft.
Grandchildren: Kaden, Logan, Bentley, Ella, Gavin, Blythe, Graham, Carly, Brooklyn and Benjamin.
Brothers: Jimmy Andrews and Ray Andrews (Cathy)
Sister: Janis Gunn
And also a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers: Kaden Ledet, Logan Ledet, Graham Newman, Jason Newman, William Hammond, Blake Hammond
