Thelma Gene Hammond, 65 was called home from this life on Monday, November 21, 2016, at her residence in Jayess, MS. Thelma was born July 6, 1951 in McComb, MS to Buford and Jewel Hammond.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Wilson Funeral Home with funeral services on Saturday November 26, 2016 at 2 PM. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving Thelma is her husband: George E. Shamis of McComb, mother Jewel Hammond Ritchie of Jayess, sons William "Benji" Hammond and wife Robin of Jayess; Tony Hammond and wife Jessica of Port Barre Louisiana. Grandchildren, Aaron Hammond, Luke Hammond, Brianna Hammond, William Hammond, Brendon Hammond, Ashlynn Hammond, Blake Hammond and Nathan Hammond.
Preceding her in death was her father Buford Hammond.
