Mr. Terry Arliss Rester, 79, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at his sister's residence in Jayess, Mississippi. He was born August 1, 1942 in Hattiesburg to Tim Arliss and Irma Lumpkin Rester.

Graveside services will be held at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Monticello, Mississippi on Tuesday, July 12 at 10:00 AM. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Terry served for four years in the United States Air Force where he was trained and worked as an air traffic controller, a job he continued after returning to civilian life. He was an avid golfer and loved to cook.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Rester Heidari and her husband, Mo, of Highland Village, Texas, and one granddaughter, Alexis Christine Heidari. He is also survived by his sister, Melva Rester Findley of Jayess; his nieces, Melissa Cotton and Sarah Davis, both of Jayess.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
