Mrs. Susan Marie Carr, 66, of Sontag, Mississippi passed away on October 6, 2022 at her residence in Sontag. Susan was born March 22, 1956 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Visitation will take place at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag on Saturday, October 8 from 10:00 AM until funeral services in the church at 12:00PM. Graveside services will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to be outside watching nature, camping, fishing, and working in her flower garden. Susan was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She gave much of her time to the community that she loved.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Carr of Sontag, Mississippi; her mother, Mattie Sue Bannister; children, Joe Carr, Jr. (Shannan) and Heather Russell (Chris), all of Sontag. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kathy Fort and Cindy Reed (Danny).

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Kirkland; brother, Billy Kirkland; and by her grandson, Caeden Carr.
