Ms. Sonia Foster Goode, 79, of Monticello, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Sonia was born September 18, 1942 in Magee, Mississippi to C.O. and Edna Lee Fortenberry Buffington.

Visitation will be held on December 11, 2021 from 12 PM until memorial services at 2 PM at Monticello Baptist Church in Monticello, MS.  Bro. Sam Taylor will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Sonia loved to travel and spending time with her family and friends. Sonia was a Girl Scout Leader for over 20 years, serving on the Girl Scout Counsel of Mississippi. Sonia was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.

Sonia is survived by her children Sandi May (Keith) of Monticello, MS and Brin Foster also of Monticello; grandchildren, Brandon May, Lee Brinson May and Lindsey Allen Foster; 4 great-grandchildren.

Sonia was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Brinson Foster and Tom Goode; brother, Charles Phillip Buffington and step-mother Ida Mary Buffington.
