Mr. Shelton King, 72, of Silver Creek, MS passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at his residence in Silver Creek, MS. Shelton was born June 4, 1948, in Monticello, Mississippi to Dew Laney and Bernice Ward King.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello. Graveside services will follow at Cliburn Cemetery in New Hebron, MS. Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Shelton was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a kind-hearted man who enjoyed helping others such as helping with the building of Shalom Baptist Church. He was avid fisherman and hunter and served in the National Guard.

Shelton is survived by his son Kenny Bullock (Becky); brothers Coyle King (Nora), Lynn King (Nay); nine grandchildren Lyle Berard (Hollie), Logan Berard (Danille), Cody Burrow (Shyanne), Dillon Berard, Garrett Dickerson, Gage Cupstid, Alyssa Cupstid, Savanah King, Blaze King; great grandchildren Bentley Burrow and Jasmime Dickerson; and two sons-in-law Derrick Dickerson, Daniel Berard

Those preceding him in death were his parents; wife Betty Barnett King; sister Merle Deese; nephew Dewayne Deese; daughters Dana Dickerson, and Darla Berard.
