Obituary

Sarah Ann White, 80 of Monticello, MS passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her residence in Monticello, MS. She was born Saturday, September 23, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in 904 W. Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, MS. Pastor Jay Thompson will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

She loved spending time with her family, listening to Christian music, watching Fox News, and helping her grandson, Cayden Reid with his math. Sarah loved scrolling through Facebook to keep up with her friends. She was known as one of the best cooks in Mississippi. Sarah was a beautiful and photogenic person that loved having her picture taken by Christen. She also loved the Snapchat filters.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dana White; father, Grady Lee Carr; mother, Ella Doris Cain Carr; brother, Robert Carr; sister, Jacquelin Morgan.

Survivors include LeRoy White; daughter, Tina Reid (Jeff) of Monticello, MS; grandchildren, Christen Foster (Brandon), Lance Reid, Ashley Reid (Lily), Payton White and Jake White; sisters, Judy Carr Holmes (Oscar) and Lisa Carr Oliver (David); great grandchildren, Brelynn Womack (Sam), Cassidy Ballard, Annablair Smith, Cayden Reid, Chandler Foster; great great grandchildren, Krue Dutton Ballard, and Kohen Boyd.

Pallbearers will be Lance Reid, Ashley Reid, Cayden Reid, Sam Womack, David Oliver, and Brandon Foster.

Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Holmes and Jimmy Ray Carr.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Gideons International - Local Lawrence County Chapter.
