Obituary

Mrs. Sara L. Thornhill, 80 was called home from this life on February 20, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Sara was born February 19, 1938 in Lawrence County, MS to James Arvin Wallace and Edna Alexander Wallace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home, Monticello, MS. Graveside Service will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 1:45 PM at Powell's Grove Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Jayess, MS. Wilson Funeral is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Thornhill was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all her family and friends. She retired from Columbia Training School as a security guard. When she was able she attended Powell's Grove Pentecostal Church as a faithful member, enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing, camping, and gardening.
Surviving her is husband of 63 years Paul D.Thornhill of Jayess, MS; 2 daughters Dianne Barnett and husband Lamar of Jayess, MS; Rhonda Hudson of Jayess, MS; 5 grandchildren Cary Barnett, Paula Waites, Scottie Barnett, Ashley Hudson, and Alandra Hudson; 10 great grandchildren Nicole Barnett, Christopher Barnett, Freddy Martinez, Elizabeth Waites, Alex Barnett, Decota Garner, Cai Garner, Caleb Brown, Kolton Dykes and Kayra Dykes; one brother Thomas L. Wallace of Columbia, MS and one sister Jimmie Lambert of Columbia, MS.
Preceding her in death were parents Arvin and Edna Wallace, one brother Joel Wallace and one sister Janice Hamilton.
