Mr. Roy E. Barnett, 77, of Jayess, Mississippi passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at New Dawn Retirement Home in Ruth, Mississippi. Roy was born October 14, 1943, in Jayess, Mississippi to Rufus and Ora Alexander Barnett.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Roy was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He was devoted to, and loved his family & friends. An avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jayess.

Roy is survived by his wife of 56 years Chloe Barnett of Jayess, Mississippi; children, Kim Barnett Thames(Darron) of Prentiss, MS,  Chris Barnett(Janice) of Jayess, MS, and Roy Barnett II(Kim) of Jayess, MS; sisters, Betty Colyer of Jayess, MS  and Alice Beeson of Mobile Al; grandchildren, Brett King(Elizabeth), Chris Barnett(Charly), Zach Barnett(Lauren), Ellie Thames, Abby Barnett, Travis Barnett, Kaylee Barnett and Fisher Barnett; 3 great grandchildren, Harper King, Emersyn Barnett and Oaklynn Barnett.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, and 3 sisters.
