Ronald "Ronnie" Carney, 64, was called home from this life on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at his residence in Monticello, MS. Mr. Carney was born May 26, 1951, in Columbia, MS, to Tom Edgar and Florence "Boots" Sauls Carney.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Monday, February 8, 2016, at 11:00AM, with Brother Michael Smith officiating the services.
The graveside service will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ronnie loved spending time with his family, playing Santa, serving as a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church, and being on the dozer.
Survivors are his children Dwayne Carney and wife Kristi of Monticello, Misty Grubbs and husband Cory of Monticello, brother Tommy Carney of Monticello, sister Donna Carney of McComb, and grandchildren Faith Carney, Addison Carver, Chase Carver, and Taylor Sauls.
Preceded in death by parents Tom Edgar and Florence "Boots" Sauls Carney, and spouse Myra "Sue" Hedgepeth Carney.
