Robert Carrol Lea passed away at the age of 81 Monday night at Baptist Hospital after a brief illness. He retired as Monticello postmaster, and then spent his remaining years in Wanilla where he was born and raised. Always enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, and domino playing, he most enjoyed the times spent with family and friends. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Dell and Margaret Lea and brother Charles, all of Wanilla.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years Maggie, his children Tim and his wife Debbie, Sissy and her husband Tony, and Joe and his wife Mary. He had five grandchildren Matt, Josh, Briana, Rachel, and Dylan, and four great-grandchildren Alexis, Emma, Carter, and
soon-to-arrive Easton Carrol.

Funeral services for Robert Carrol Lea, 81 will be on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Wanilla Baptist Church in Monticello, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, MS. Bro. Lee Faler will be officiating the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Wanilla Baptist Church on Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
