Robert Louis Butler, 83 of Monticello, MS passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, Mississippi. He was born Monday, January 27, 1941 in New Hebron, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM until  at Wilson Funeral Home in 904 W. Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 07, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Drummond Cemetery in New Hebron, MS. Burial will follow in Drummond Cemetery in New Hebron, MS. Pastor Jay Thompson will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

Robert loved to hunt and fish, watch westerns, and was an avid reader.  He was always active and enjoyed working and helping others. Robert loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Butler;  daughters, Kathrine Rutland and Kimberly Butler;  father, Ledrew Butler;  mother, Lula May Drummond Butler.
Survivors include his son, Ken Butler;  daughters, Karon Worley of Monticello, MS, Kazan Bales, Krystal Goshorn.
Pallbearers will be Bill Vlamis, Kenneth Butler, Tim Lambert, Jonah Worley, Patrick Bales, and Billy Abrams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Bates and Daniel Bates.
