Obituary

Philip Cline Ainsworth of Jayess, MS passed away at the King Daughter's Medical Center in Brookhaven on February 19, 2025.  He was born in Tylertown, MS to Heston Cline and Clyde Merle Harvey Ainsworth on October 3, 1946.

Mr. Ainsworth's wishes were to be cremated and his ashes scattered on his grave at Sartinville Methodist Cemetery.

He was a secondary math teacher for 30 years and worked 15 years with Exxon.  He also lived in Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi during his lifetime. His hobbies and interests included: college football, and mathematics. He noted that his passion in life was Sherrie McCaffrey.  One of his greatest life lessons was that "His God is a living, breathing God who has been every step with me when I most doubted him". His treasured accomplishments in life " Was having some input in the lives of my children for they have glorified mine."

Phil was preceded in death by his parents: Heston Cline and Clyde Merle Harvey Ainsworth.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sherrie McCaffrey; son, Darian Ainsworth; daughter, Sonya Ainsworth; brothers and sisters.  He also leaves behind many friends and family that he dearly loved.
