Danita Rostyak, 67, of New Hebron, Mississippi, passed away December 29, 2025 in Hattiesburg. She was born February 9, 1958, in Monticello, Mississippi, to Paul and Barbara Sutton of New Hebron.

She grew up in Monticello and attended high school there. Danita loved horror movies, Westerns, music, and cats. She was a skilled pianist and enjoyed writing handwritten letters. She had a peculiar sense of humor and a wild spirit. She was one of a kind. You'll never meet anyone like her.

She is survived by her two children, Dustin "Bridge" Sutton (Brandi) and Lacy Rostyak; two grandchildren, Nadia and Josette; and her brother, Brian Sutton (Leila).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Barbara Sutton.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at New Hebron Methodist Church, 109 Main Avenue, New Hebron, Mississippi.
