Paul "Mike" Wilson, 73 of Monticello, MS passed away Monday, February 2, 2026. He was born Tuesday, April 8, 1952 in Brookhaven, MS.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 at Wanilla Baptist Church located at 997 Smith Ferry Road, Monticello, MS. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 04, 2026 at Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, MS.  Bro. Eddie Bates will officiate. Mike was hardworking and dedicated for 42 years as a veterinarian in private practice.  He was known for his compassion and knowledge of animal care. He was known for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor.  He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He spent his final years enjoying retirement and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years; Susan Sparks Wilson; father, Paul Nepolian Wilson; mother, Jo Ann Keene Wilson; and a grandchild, Charlie Wilson.

Survivors include his son, Sparks Wilson (Lauren) of Monticello, MS; daughter, Kathryn Wilson; brother, Felon Wilson (Donna); grandchildren, Lizzy Cantrell, S.J. Wilson, Hank Wilson, Sadie Wilson and Colt Wilson; sisters-in-law, Gayle Miller (Willie) and Beth Geeslin (Dale).
