Rev. Paul Jones Stephens, 82, of Jayess, Mississippi passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born April 9, 1939 in Monticello, Mississippi to Homer Washington and Minnie Hall Stephens.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, with funeral services at 11:00; all at Wilson Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bro. Paul served in Christian ministry for over 50 years, serving as a pastor in Louisiana and in several interim positions during his retirement after moving back home.

He is survived by his sons Danny Stephens and Nathan Stephens, both of Jayess, MS, along with eight grandchildren. He also leaves behind one brother, Buford Stephens (Kay) also of Jayess, MS.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise Stephens, and by his parents. He was also preceded by his brother and sister, Wayne Stephens and Catherine Buchanan.
