Memorial services will be held on May 15, 2021 at 10:00AM at Divide Methodist Church, 8 Divide RD Monticello MS 39654. Brother Matthew Lambert will officiate the service.
Mr. Paul Bedford Johnson, 81 of Silver Creek passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his residence in Silver Creek, MS. Paul was born January 21, 1940 to James and Hattie Davis
Paul retired from the oilfield after working around the world over 40 years, he proudly served his country in the Mississippi National Guard at Monticello, Mississippi.
Paul had a love for fishing and spent many hours on the Pearl River. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was a kind hearted man who enjoyed caring and providing for others, especially friends and family. Paul will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Paul is survived by his wife, Debra Johnson of Silver Creek, MS. His Daughter, Dena Bedson (Jamie) of Natchez, MS. Daughter, Debbie Schwartz (Joe) of Albuquerque, NM, Son, Paul B Johnson JR (Claudia) of Silver Creek, MS. Daughter, Tandy Holmes (Matt) of Monticello, MS. Sister In Law, Nancy Ann Johnson, of Monticello, MS. Brother Arrie Douglas Johnson, (Charlotte) of Monticello. Sister, Martha Lou Ballard of Monticello, MS. Grandchildren Alaina Bedson Lee of Vidalia LA, Kristine Bedson of Natchez, MS. Paula Reeves (Clyde) of Bogue Chitto,Ms Joshua Schwartz of Albuquerque, NM. Cailtlin Schwartz of, Albuquerque, NM. Evan Schwartz of, Albuquerque NM. Erin Mccollum (Dillan) of Monticello, MS. Austin Holmes (Erin) Monticello, MS. Amber Johnson of Silver Creek. Brieanna Johnson of Silver Creek, MS. Marc Johnson of Silver Creek, MS. Twelve great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, classmates and friends.
Preceding him in death where his parents James Leon Johnson, Mother Hattie Davis Evans, and Step Father Melvin Dewitt Evans. Son Marcus HR Johnson, Brother James Leon Johnson the III, and Sister Omelia Tyson. He was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Braylin Case.
