Patricia Ann Whitley, 79 of Monticello, MS passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Marion General Hospital in Columbia, Mississippi. She was born Friday, March 17, 1944 in Jackson, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 24th from 10 am until 11 am. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on June 24th, 2023 at New Life Church located at 1095 FE Sellers Hwy in Monticello. Brother David Browder and Brother Jay Thompson will officiate.

Patricia loved to fish and was always remodeling the house. She also loved to work with flowers. She loved to sew, raise animals and crochet. Patricia also was the owner of Pop's Place in Monticello in the early 2000's. She was very faithful in church work and working at the Franklinton fair when the church had a booth by the stage.

Mawmaw had a lot of wisdom and knowledge that she passed down to the kids thru many kitchen and living room conversations.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Whitley; father, Earnest Martin; mother, Dessa "Mamie" Tucker Martin; and a daughter-in-law, Lucretia Whitley.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy W Whitley, Sr. of Monticello, MS; sons, Jimmy W Whitley, Jr. of Monticello, MS, Michael Whitley (Lisa) of Monticello, MS; daughter, Tammy Whitley King (Mike) of Monticello, MS; and a daughter-in-law, Dona Whitley Marschke.  She is survived by 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and she has great, great grandbabies.
