Ms. Olene Reid Peavey, 82, of Jayess, MS passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her residence in Jayess. Olene was born November 3, 1937, in Lawrence County, MS to L.J. and Ethel Mae Carney Reid.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 6 PM until 9 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS and continuing Wednesday January 22, 2020 from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM at Wilson Funeral Home with graveside services following in Divide Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery in Monticello, MS.  Rev. Dale Authement will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Olene was retired from Wal Mart as a door greeter, she also worked many years at Kellwood Manufacturing. She was a member of Divide Methodist Protestant Church for many years. She loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Olene is survived by her children, Brenda Adcock and husband Hoyal of Jayess, Kevin Peavey of Jayess, and Wayne Peavey and wife Pam of Sontag; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Those preceding her in death were her husband, Conely Peavey, parents, one brother, three children and three grandchildren.
