Funeral services for Norman John Niehaus will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Ed King will be officiating the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Shiloh Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Mr. Niehaus, 77, of Sontag, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at Lawrence County Hospital. He was born on September 21, 1943 in Ponchatoula, LA, to Joseph F. and Gertrude LeBlanc Niehaus. He was a loving husband, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, joking and having a good time.  When he was younger fishing and hunting was a favorite pass time.

Preceding him were his parents; brother, Russell Niehaus; sisters, Patsy Wiggins and Tina Bryant.

Survivors are his wife, Lavern Brown Niehaus; sons, Richard Stewart of Foxworth, MS, Tommy Channell, Tony Channell, Thad Channell all of Sontag, MS;  daughters, Desiree Fontenelle of Springfield, LA , Ann McGraw of Monticello, MS, Sandra Prevost of Loranger, LA; 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Niehaus of Slidell, LA and Butch Niehaus of Ponchatoula, LA.
