Obituary

Mrs. Nina Renfroe, 93, of Jayess, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at her home. She was born August 18, 1928 in Columbia, Mississippi to Buford and Lusettie Reid Holmes.

A visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, Monticello, MS, on Sunday, April 24, from 12:30 PM until funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 PM. Graveside services will follow in the Tilton United Methodist Church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Renfroe and her husband were recognized on their seventy-fifth wedding anniversary for being the longest-married couple in the state of Mississippi. She was a Christian woman who loved her church and the Lord; she also loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. She was a true southern lady; she also loved and enjoyed working in the yard and growing beautiful flowers.

She is survived by her husband of almost 77 years, Lee Roy Renfroe, Jr., and by her children; Ken Renfroe (Ginger) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Wanda Renfroe of Monticello. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Brian Renfroe, Bretlee Carney (Mandie), and Elizabeth Bracey (Joshua); five great-grandchildren; Chloe Carney, Brodie Carney, Ava Reid Bracey, Harper Bracey, and Kayte Bracey; and one sister, Charlene Graham (Boe) of Jayess.

Mrs. Nina was preceded in death by her parents and by three brothers and one sister.
