Mr. Nelson Pittman Davis, 82, of Monticello, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS. He was born December 31, 1939 to Oma and Edna Davis in Lawrence County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, September 22, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11:00 AM at Carmel Baptist Church, Monticello; graveside services will follow in the Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Nelson was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1958-1962. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed both singing and listening to gospel music.

Nelson is survived by his children; Jennifer Cunningham (Dane) of Silver Creek and Paul Davis of Monticello; grandchildren; Natalie Barnett (Scotty) of Jayess, Hannah Heard (Cameron) of Bogue Chitto, and Ethan Wolfe of San Antonio, TX; three great-grandchildren; Alex Barnett, Raylynn Heard, and Layla Wolfe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Sandy Davis; his brothers, Carroll Davis, Tommy Joe Davis; and two sisters, Annette Kindem and Elaine Lord.
