Myrtle McNeese Barnett, 80 was called home from this life on Friday, August 26, 2016, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, MS. Myrtle was born October 31, 1935 in Lawrence County, MS to Walter and Janie Lambert McNease.
There will be a time of visitation from 5:00PM till 9:00PM August 27, 2016, at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with the Service Sunday 28, at 2:00PM the graveside service will follow in Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Brother Ray Bowling will officiate the services.
Ms. Barnett was a faithful member of Calvary and a prayer warrior for many years, she was known for her time of caring for others at their time of need. She will be missed by family, church family, and friends.
Surviving Myrtle are her sons: Steve Barnett and wife Alica, of Monticello; Keith Barnett and wife Tangi of Monticello; sister Edna Thornhill and husband Delma of Jayess; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by two life time friends Artelia Ard Wallace and Ruby Nell Boyd.
Proceeding her in death is parents Walter and Janie Lambert McNease,husband Derl Barnett, two sisters Christine McNease and Ann Swartz, one brother David Vernon McNease.
