OBITUARY

David Mitchell Hedgepeth, 67 of Jayess, MS passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born Monday, December 16, 1957 in Tylertown, MS.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 07, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello, MS.  Bro. Ken Hedgepeth will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

Mitchell had a deep love for the outdoors, music, and the laughter of his grandbabies. His strong will and determination were unmatched, and he fought bravely to stay here with the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Hedgepeth (Jessica); father, Mack T Hedgepeth, Jr; mother, Joann Carney.

Survivors include his daughters, Kelsey Hedgepeth and Kacey McPhail (Michael); brother, Jason Hedgepeth; sisters, Janet Reid and Sandra Reeves; grandchildren, Kolyn McPhail, Molly McPhail, Sophee McPhail, Hayes Hedgepeth and Ella Kate Hedgepeth; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael McPhail, Kolyn McPhail, Hayes Hedgepeth, Mason Guidry, and Matt Soyez.
