Mildred Loraine Smith, 87 was called home from this life on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, MS. Mrs. Smith was born November 23, 1928 in Iverness, MS.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 28, 2015, at Tilton United Methodist Church from 5:00 -9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday December 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Tilton United Methodist Church. The graveside service will follow in the Tilton United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Kevin Trantham, and Reverend Dave Nichols officiating. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Loraine loved spending time with her family. Her main focus was her savior and church. She was an active member of the Eastern Star in Odessa Texas.
Survivors are her children : Rudy Smith ( Jane) of Monticello, Patricia Thornhill ( Wayne) of Darbun, Marilyn Thornhill ( James Clifford) of Kokomo, Carolyn Harvey ( John) of Sartinville. Twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents James and Mildred Shepard Garver, son Pat Thompson, brother Buddy Garver and her husband Rudolph Smith.
