Fannie Mildred Rutland, 89, of Jayess, Mississippi, passed away on May 31, 2026. Mrs. Rutland was born to Milton and Annie Day, on September 9, 1936 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

She graduated from Topeka High School.

She enjoyed children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her interests were anything outdoors. She loved playing in the creek with the children. Mildred enjoyed working cross-word puzzles.

Mrs. Rutland is survived by: her sons; Joey (Peggy) Rutland and Jimmy (Debra) Rutland; daughter-in-law: Regina Rutland; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; her husband: Charles Ray Rutland; her parents; her son: Jamie; and her siblings: Cloyce, Ralph, Everett, Ruby, Irma Niece, Wadie, and Lesseree.

The family has entrusted Wilson Funeral Home with the arrangements.
