Mike R. Boyd, 77, of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at his residence in Brookhaven, MS. Mike was born December 17, 1946 in Durham, North Carolina to Robert Reed and Kathleen Cheek Boyd.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 10 AM until funeral services at 1 PM at Jayess Baptist Church in Jayess, MS. Graveside services will follow at Jayess Baptist Church Cemetery in Jayess. Bro. Woody Rimes will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mike loved his flowers and spending time outdoors doing anything with his great-grandbabies. He loved to work in his yard cutting grass, and burning, signing like a Cherokee. He loved to watch Fox News and talk about politics. He loved to spread the gospel to everyone and had unshakable faith and love for his Lord. His greatest pride was saving his whole family for eternity.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Tabby Boyd and Jennifer Walker (Greg) both of Brookhaven, MS; 2 grandsons, Jakob Walker (Madeline) and Stoney Walker (Brianna); 4 great-grandchildren, Marianna (Punkin), William (Buddy), Stella (Little Punkin) and Loulou (Tiny Punkin).

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lou Boyd.
