Ms. Melba Hoffman Nelson, 93, of Monticello, MS passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, MS. Melba was born April 26, 1926, in Oak Grove, Louisiana to John Stanton and Nora Wooten Hoffman.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Melba was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a long-time member of New Hope Baptist Church in Monticello, MS. Melba along with her late husband Euel Nelson were members of Campers on Mission volunteer missionary in the United States moving from Florida to Alaska doing mission work. They were active volunteers at Central Hills Baptist Retreat in Kosciusko, MS.

Melba is survived by her grandson Jason Nelson and wife Connie of Smithdale, MS; 2 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Those preceding her in death were her parents, husband Euel Robert Nelson, son Lawrence Howard Nelson, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
