Mrs. Mavis Lambert, 69, of Jayess, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Mavis was born January 22, 1953 in Monticello, MS to Elzy and Cathern Buchanan.

Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Monticello, MS on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Bro. Dale Authement will reside over the services.

Mavis is survived by one daughter, Sarah Lambert of Jayess She also leaves behind one brother, Steve Buchanan (Pam), two sisters, Deborah Boyd (Wade), Sissy Barkley (Earl), and one sister-in-law Evelyn Williamson.

Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Johnny Lambert, sister Jean Buchanan, and niece Allie Barkley.

Pallbearers are Wade Boyd, Waylon Brown, Randy Catt, Michael Thames, Bobby Miller and Terry Davis.
