Ms. Mary Cox Hardy, 85, of Silver Creek, Mississippi, passed away on October 7, 2022 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. She was born on January 5, 1937, in Alabama.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, at the Hardy Cemetery (Seed Sowers Church) in Monticello, Mississippi. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Hardy of Silver Creek; her grandchildren; and her siblings; Linda Sheffield, Daphne Sherman, Danny Hodges, and Donnie Hodges.

Ms. Hardy was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hardy; her father, Roy Cox and her mother, Lena Pearl Hodges; and her two sons, Wayne Hardy and Ray Corley. She is also preceded by one grandson, Thomas Hardy, Jr.; and her siblings; Betty Sue Hodges, Billy Joe Hodges, Ruby Lee Chapman, Virginia Helen Corbett, and Ronald Hodges.
