Marthia Ella Carr, 77, was called home from this life on Monday, April 11, 2016, at her residence in Sontag, MS. Mrs. Carr was born on October 5, 1938 in Crystal Springs, MS to Hilton and Lina Broadwater Callender.
There will be a time of visitation from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Tuesday, April 13, 2016, at Shiloh Baptist Church with the service Thursday April 14, 2016 at 1pm. Graveside services will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Ed King will officiate the services. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Carr was a loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed fishing and loved going to the beach and collecting seashells.
Survivors are her husband Joey Carr of Sontag, sons: Joe R. Carr and wife Susan of Sontag, and Stephen Anthony Carr and wife Brandi of Sontag, daughters: Donna Kay Carr, of McComb and Susan Carole Neal and husband Joseph of Silver Creek. Sister; Hilda Traylor and husband Dennis of Madison, MS.
