Martha M. Ward, 82 of Oak Vale, MS passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at her residence in Oak Vale, MS. She was born Thursday, February 11, 1943 in Mobile, Alabama.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home at  904 W. Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS. Burial will follow in Oak Vale Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Vale, MS. Bro. Eddie Myers and Rev. Perry Robbins will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

She was known as a sweet person that kept a smile on her face. Martha loved her grandbabies and loved to spend time with family and friends on the creek.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joey Ward;  father, Clarence Poe McWilliams, Sr.;  mother, Ellen Letchworth;  sister, Mildred Smith.

Survivors include her husband, William "Pete" Ward of Oak Vale, MS;  son, Jimmy Ward (Elisha);  daughters, Nanette Ward Cole (Jack Jr.) and Bobbie Jean Ward Dunaway (Robbie);  grandchildren, Amanda Robertson (Kyle), Wyatt Foster, Eden Ward, Connor Ward, Samantha Cole, Sophie Ward and Loten Cole; great grandchildren, Tucker, Kaycen, Hollis, and baby girl on the way; brother, Junior McWilliams (Marie);  sisters, Dorothy Barr, Betty Jones, and Deborah Mullins (Randall).

Pallbearers will be Loten Cole, Kyle Robertson, Coyle King, David Munoz, Chuck Jordan, and John Verdin.
