Obituary

Marilyn King Mullins, 71, passed away May 5, 2024, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, MS. Marilyn was born March 10, 1953, in Lawrence County to Denton King and Mary Rutland Reid.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, at Sauls Valley Baptist Church from 5-9. Visitation will resume Wed morning until time of service at 11 at the Church. Graveside services will be at Sauls Valley Cemetery with Bro. Scott Johnson officiating.

She attended Monticello High School. Marilyn married Charles Mullins on June 28, 1969. Together they opened MC Medical and she ran the company as a family business for over 20 years. She spent many years volunteering and chairing for Relay for Life. She was very passionate in her duties and this cause brought her great joy helping others.

She was a loving wife and mother but her main love in life was being a MeMe to her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Donald King, and brother-in-law, John Dickson.

Mrs Mullins is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles of Monticello, daughter, Terri Mullins Johnson of Brookhaven and son, Keith (Meghan) Mullins of Monticello; 4 grandchildren:  Matti B and Sophee Johnson of Brookhaven, Rayce Mullins and Madison Norwood of Monticello. She is also survived by a sister, Linda Sue Dickson of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, and precious friends she considered family.

Pallbearers for Mrs Mullins will be Rayce Mullins, Donnie Mullins, Dale Mullins, Clayton Brister and John Ratcliff.
