Mr. Malcolm T. Blackwell, 90, of Monticello, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his residence in Monticello, Mississippi. Malcolm was born August 30, 1930 in Lawrence County Mississippi to Johnny and Cassie Lambert Blackwell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS with graveside services following in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tyler Bridge will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Malcolm proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed farming until he moved to Belle Chasse, Louisiana where he became Project Engineer for Brown & Root for 27 years. After retirement he moved back home and raised cattle on his farm in Center community. He enjoyed being a member of the Masonic Lodge where he became a Past Master. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Malcolm will be missed by everyone.

Malcolm is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine Smith Blackwell of Monticello, MS; son, Johnnie Michael Blackwell (Alice) of Monticello, MS; daughters, Yvonne Neal (Joseph) of St. Rose, LA, Belinda Pippin (David) of Columbus, MS and Lisa Blackwell of Monticello, MS; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Glynn Blackwell and Robert Blackwell.

Those preceding him in death were his parents.

In lieu of flowers family ask that donations be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
