Mack “Buckskin” Buchanan, 58, of Jayess, Mississippi, passed away on September 29,2026. Mack was born to parents Delmus and Shelby Buchanan, on July 30,1968, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Mack graduated from Lawrence County high school in 1986. He drove a long truck for over 30 years and owned his own 18-wheeler. He knew and loved everything there was to know about big trucks. His greatest Joy was his family. He loved his children deeply and treasured every moment spent with grandchildren, also most definitely his Mama. There was no limit to his capacity to love others, and his ability to make each of his children and grandchildren feel as though they were his personal favorite. His family knew they could always count on him for a helping hand, a listening ear, a good laugh, or a few words of wisdom and encouragement.

He was a member of Topeka Baptist Church for over 20 years.

Mack was proceeded in death by his father, Delmus Buchanan; brothers, Ray Buchanan Jr., Mark Buchanan, and Mike Buchanan; and niece Crystal Buchanan.

Mack is survived by his mother Shelby Buchanan; daughter, Brandi Buchanan; sons, Ray Buchanan and Cory Buchanan (Madi); granddaughters, Madyson Stuart, Paisley Stuart, Kyleigh Barnes and Penelope Buchanan.
