Obituary

Lynn Tillman Scholle, of Monticello, Mississippi, passed away June 4, 2026, and entered the presence of his Lord and Savior; he was 79 years old. Lynn lived a life defined by faith, service, love, and unwavering devotion to his family. He had a remarkable ability to make others feel loved and welcomed, always extending kindness and encouragement to those around him. His gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and Christ-like example left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army, 173d Airborne Brigade. His military service reflected the same courage, dedication, and commitment to others that characterized every aspect of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sharon Scholle; his son, Michael Scholle (Kasey) of Hammond, Louisiana; and his daughter, Joy Russell (Ben) of Monticello, Mississippi. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Landon Scholle, Trace Scholle, Chloe Russell, Caylie Russell, Sadie Scholle, and Sapphire Scholle, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.

He is also survived by his twin brother, Sam Scholle (Brenda), and his brother, Mike Scholle, both of Paradis, Louisiana, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by his friendship and example.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis C. Scholle and Mary Stephens-Scholle; a son, Stephen, and a grandson, Bennett J. Scholle. His legacy of love, laughter, service, and unwavering faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
