Lue Jean Harvey, 82 of Silver Creek, MS, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at her daughters residence in Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church in Silver Creek, MS. Burial will be in Hepzibah Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home of Monticello, MS is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

Ms. Harvey served as a Lawrence County Election Commissioner for 26 plus years. She previously worked at Kellwood Manufacturing for 20 years. Lue Jean was an avid tennis player and served as the captain of the Senior Soutwest District Tennis team for several years, including 2005, when they claimed second place in the National Seniors Tournament in Palm springs, CA. Her early passion was Silver Creek softball. In her later years Lue Jean was a very competitive card/domino player, and a member of the local Red Hat Society. She was a wonderful mother, Mother-in-law and grandmother and will truly missed by her family and friends.
