Mrs Loyce R McCloud, 85 of Brookhaven, MS passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 at her residence in Brookhaven, MS. She was born Friday, April 5, 1940 in Ruth, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Temple Cemetery in Brookhaven, Mississippi.  Bro. Ronnie Turner and Bro. Stephen Binion will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

Loyce was the devoted wife of Buddy McCloud for 66 years. She was the mother of four children, whom she cherished and loved deeply. She was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Powells Grove Pentecostal Church until her health would not allow her to attend. Loyce enjoyed raising her family in a rural setting.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Waldrop;  mother, Willie Russell Waldrop;  brothers, James Russell Waldrop and Roger Dale Waldrop;  sisters, Ouida Waldrop Lee, Maiblume Waldrop Hall, Jean Rose Waldrop Caves, Flora Nell Waldrop Thompson;  grandson, Caleb Boyd;  father-in-law, Curtis McCloud;  mother-in-law, Myrtis Burns McCloud.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy McCloud of Brookhaven, MS;  sons, Lance McCloud (Aletha) of Jayess, MS and Curtis McCloud (Cindy) of Ruth, MS;  daughters, Shelia McCloud Boyd (Eric) of Jayess, MS and LaDonna McCloud Boyd (Brad) of Ruth, MS;  brother, William Durwood Waldrop;  sister, Joyce Doerner; 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

The McCloud family would like to sincerely thank the personal caregivers for their dedicated loving care of their wife and mother. Also, the care that  St. Luke Hospice has provided throughout her illness.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Stokes, Cody McCloud, Keith Smith, Ben Fuller, Joseph Ellis, and Reid Verdin.
