Linda "Jan" Rushing Thornhill, 71, was called home from this life on November 5, 2017, in Jayess, MS. Linda was born October 11, 1946 in Pascagoula, MS to Chance and Bertha Turnage Rushing.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jayess and continuing Friday November 10, 2017 from 9 AM until service time at 2:30 PM at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with graveside services following in Calvary United Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Jayess, MS. Bro. Ray Bowling will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Jan will be remembered as a very caring and loving person to others, she enjoyed helping people to see them smile and be happy.
Surviving Jan is her husband Carey Thornhill of Jayess, MS; daughters Rhonda Hackett (Johnny) of Jayess, MS ; Karrie Lu Barkman (James) of Vidor, TX; brothers Freamon Rushing , Hilton Rushing both of Moss Point, MS; six grandchildren Dallas Bryan, Somer Roll, Heather Lejune, Myca Bryan, Kaycee Mixon, Colton Hackett and eight great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers Bennie and Jimmy Rushing.
