Linda Gail Pevey, 75 of Jayess, MS passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at her residence in Jayess, MS. She was born Saturday, July 8, 1950 in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church in 618 Carmel New Hope Road, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 12:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church in Monticello, MS. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church in Monticello, Mississippi. Bro. Linda loved the outdoors, especially chickens, flowers, and gardening. She would go above and beyond for her grandchildren. She loved them dearly. She was quiet, but she loved to laugh. Linda didn't try to be funny, but she was hilarious. You could count on her having goodies in her purse for the children. She loved to shop.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Pevey; father, Edward Hadden; mother, Frances Isadore Whitehead Hadden.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Pevey of Jayess, MS; sons, Coby H Smith (Lindi) of Monticello, MS, Jason Pevey; daughters, Cala Smith Knight (Court) of Hattiesburg, MS and Dana Pevey White; 12 grandchildren. and 3 great grandchildren.
